Land Rover Freelander, a compact crossover SUV designed with Land Rover owned by the Rover Group. The second generation Freelander features a modified version of the Terrain Response off-road driving system as fitted to the Discovery 3 and the Range Rover. Freelander 2 comes with two engines: 3.2 litre petrol inline six-cylinder engine producing 230 hp (170 kW) and the 2.2 litre TD4 Turbo Diesel engine (160hp), 6-speed automatic transmission with CommandShift® offers manual sequential gear changes and a driver-selectable sports mode.
Other standard features are auxiliary MP3 audio socket, optional full-colour touch-screen DVD satellite navigation, optional Bluetooth® Personal Telephone Integration, optional Premium in-car entertainment system with 6-disc in-dash CD changer, 14 speakers, Dolby ProLogic II 7.1 surround sound and MP3 file compatibility.
